George Washington is considered as the first president of the United States from 1789 to 1797. During his reign, he was considered as the "Father of his country". His presidency was considered to be significant because of doing a crucial role in creating and leading the United States of America in its earliest days. His presidency created a foundation as to what made United States on the following years. He was also a surveyor, farmer and soldier who rose to command the Colonial forces in the Revolutionary War.
