Alright! In order to solve this problem you first have to find how how many cans of dog food he ate in one day. To do that you simply divide 40 cans by 30 days:

[tex] \frac{40}{30} [/tex] → [tex] \frac{4}{3} [/tex]

If the dog ate [tex] \frac{4}{3} [/tex] per day, then to find out how many cans he ate in 6 days to multiply [tex] \frac{4}{3} [/tex] by 6:

[tex] \frac{4}{3} [/tex] x 6 → [tex] \frac{4}{3} [/tex] x [tex] \frac{6}{1} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{24}{3} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{24}{3} [/tex] simplified is 8!

Adrian's dog at 8 cans of food in 6 days.
