The Magna Carta was a document that the people of 1215 pressured the king to sign. it basically gave to people rights and limited the power of the future kings. With this document, the English had the opportunity to revolt, and was the beginning of the revolutionary war, or at least the paper that got their minds to wonder about breaking off from England.... :D Hope this helps!
