Which of these sentences uses the correct punctuation?
a.All the firefighters (sixty-three in all) were wearing their firefighting gear.
b.All the firefighters (sixty three in all) were wearing their firefighting gear.
c.All the firefighters sixty-three in all were wearing their firefighting gear.
the answer would be A because it has the parenthesis around sixty-three in all and c does not, however they both have the dash mark so you could easily confuse the two if you don't pay attention to the parenthesis.
