What was feudalism?
A system where the government told people what crops to grow.
A system where peasants sold their goods at local markets.
A system where peasants worked land owned by landowners.
A system where the government distributed food according to egalitarian principles.
Feudalism was the system in European medieval societies of the 10th to 13th centuries CE whereby a social hierarchy was established based on local administrative control and the distribution of land into units (fiefs).
