I personally think that they should be allowed in today's classrooms because so much contact is used with a cellphone. You can use it incase of an emergency to get a hold of someone. There are also certain apps on cell phones that are appropriatte for school (example calculator). Also, they are a great thing to have just in case you need something to turn in something online.
