Argument Writing Template

Your completed editorial should be at least three paragraphs in length. A paragraph is four to six sentences. Use the following template to help organize and create your arguments. Once you have completed writing each of your three paragraphs in the boxes below, turn in this document to your instructor for grading.

Paragraph 1:

• should contain an introduction that introduces the topic

• should acknowledge that some people claim Asia made more contributions to society and some people claim that Africa made more contributions to society

Paragraph 2:

• should contain your claim that either Asia or Africa made more contributions to society

People may believe that Asia made more contributions to society than Africa. But some may believe that Africa made more contributions to society than Asia.

The Asians made much more things than Africans. The Africans built Mastabas but what does that have to do with society? I mean it became a symbol of Ancient Egypt but did we really use it after Egyptians? No we didn't use them so the Africans have made little contributions.

The Asians made much more things than the Africans such as iron tools, clocks, printing, or paper. We would not be anywhere without paper. We have many uses for paper such as books toilet paper and napkins. Asians made the compass also. Iron tools made the Asians hard to win against fights. The compass was very useful for finding your way home and would later be used for more things.
