   Distance  = speed x time

Time 1  = 2.5hrs

Speed 1  = 60km/h

    Distance 1   = 2.5 x 60  = 150km

Time 2  = 1.5hrs

Speed  2  = 80km/h

   Distance 2  = 1.5 x 80  = 120km

 Average speed  = [tex]\frac{150km + 120km }{2.5 + 1.5}[/tex]   = 67.5km/hr
