A 24 inch piece of board was cut from the end of a 120 inch long board. The larger piece was then cut in half.
Which of the following is the best estimate for the length of one of the halves?
A. 30 in
B. 40 in
C. 50 in

It’s actually B.
You have too subtract first: 120-24=96
Then divide so you know how long the half was. 96/2=48.
Estimated would be 50! :)
