Cells can have two kinds of endoplasmic reticulum (ER): smooth ER, which has no ribosomes, and rough ER, which has ribosomes embedded in it’s membrane.what would happen if the rough endoplasmic reticulum in the cell of an organism lost all of it’s ribosomes?

Answer:   If the rough ER lost all of its ribosomes, the cells wouldn't be able to produce any protein.

Explanation:    

A single cell can contain around 10 million ribosomes. Without these ribosomes, cells would not be able to produce protein and would not be able to function properly. The cell would no longer be able to send proteins to the Golgi.
