It is truly "A nonfiction text written in first-person point of view" because, if you read it closely  he talk about what he does, in first person view. for ex: "I then had to regret that I did not at least make the attempt to carry out my resolution to run away; she is using the word "I" and the whole story of where this is from is an autobiography and an autobiography is in first person view, anyway.
