The Bill of Rights guaranteed all people rights to liberty and property. The Bills of Rights were the first ten amendments added to the Constitution. The Constitution created the new government and enumerated the powers for each branch. Several states wanted increased protections for individual liberties and limits on the federal government's power, so the Bill of Rights was written to protect those interests.
