A rectangular room is three times as long as it is wide , and it's perimeter is 72 meters . Find the length of the room.

Let the width = x

length = 3x

Now, 2(3x+x) = 72

2(4x)=72

8x=72

x = 9

So, length would be 3x=3(9) = 27 meters
