A cookbook says to cook a beef roast 35 minutes per pound. How many hours will it take to cook a 6.5 pound roast?

You can either do a fraction or you can do easy math. All you have to do is multiply 6.5 and 35 which should be 227.5 Since you want it in hours, you have to divide it by 60 now which is 3.79 so 3 hours and bit over a quarter.
