Why does most of the population of Canada live along the southern border?

Its Arctic climate is perfect for ice roads.
The glaciers in this area are a source of fresh water.
It has the warmest climate and is near The Great Lakes.
The people live here in order to work at the many silver, gold, and diamond mines.

Answer: it probably has the warmest climate but I don’t think it’s near the Great Lakes but since it south it closer to equator most likely getting more heat so it a 50/50 on my answer you can risk it if you trust my answer
