Assuming that Steve has as many friends as possible, he has 2 pieces of gum left. He gave each friend six pieces so that means he can’t have more than 8 friends (6x8=48) this is the maximum amount he can give to friends while being equal. Now that we know he gave away 48 stick you subtract that from the total to get what would be left over. So the answer is that Steve has 2 pieces of gum left and should really give me one lol.
