The area of Europe with the worst air quality, that is, whose atmosphere has the most pollution, is the Balkan area. Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia are the European countries that have the worst records of atmospheric pollution in European territory.
If one looks at a map of air pollution, the Bosnian, Serbian, Kosovar, Macedonian and Bulgarian capitals offer extremely high levels of environmental pollution. In fact, according to the AirVisual index, at the beginning of December, Skopje was in third place among the most polluted cities in the world, and Sarajevo was the fifth. And Pristina occupies the first places in the list of cities most plunged in toxic clouds, where polluting particles threaten the health of anyone. This index scores from 0 to 500. From 300 it is dangerous. On December 3, the Kosovar capital reached 456.
