True, it’s the same everywhere honestly because the people who can’t access the basic services, or necessities, will resort to whatever means in order to fulfill their basic requirements that they see others easily fulfilling on a daily basis. One mean by which they can earn enough money for basic services is criminal activity, since employers won’t necessarily hire them for any jobs possibly and maybe the jobs they offer won’t pay as well as the criminal activity would pay.

Unequal access to basic services in South Africa is responsible for various criminal activities due to immense unjust distribution of wealth, job opportunities among others.

Some part of South African have access to basic services while some other  part  lives in the environment where they have very  limited access to basic services.

Basic services such as:

•Food

•Water

•Education

•Health care

•Transportation.

A person or an individual who  have very poor access to all this  basic service will most likely involve in criminal activities in order to meet their needs and that of their family members.

Example  a person who has no food to eat  will likely involve in criminal activities by stealing any available food items or by robbery people of their hard earn money or valuable items in order to put food on their table.
