Denote:

The length of rectangular: x

The width of rectangular: y

Then,

2(x + y) = 20

x - y = 4

=> 2(y + 4 + y) =20

=> 4y = 12

=> y = 3

=> x = 3 + 4 = 7

=> Area of rectangular:

A = Length x Width = 7 x 3 = 21 (cm2)
