NEED HELP WITH ESSAY: Are there any words that can replace "things" in writing? I wrote: "by making up lies and exaggerating things."
(it's considered a junk word to my teacher so I don't want to get any points off)

You could always define what you mean by "things" give examples etc. If you are reffering to an object you could say item instead. If you are reffering to a task you could use the words tasks, activity, goals etc.
