There are numerous types of storms, each of them having their own unique characteristics, and unfortunately all of them being able to cause a lot of damage. Some of them are:
- Derecho storms
These are series of storms that stretch for over 240 mph. They have winds of over 58 mph, and they are very unpredictable.
- Flooding
The flooding occurs when there's excessive rainfall that over-saturates the water bodies and the soil with water, causing floods.
- Hail storm
They occur in the warm periods, coming in the shape of circular-shaped ice stones. This type of storm causes lot of damage through the power of the ice stones.
- Snow storm
The snow storms occur in the cold periods. They are excessive snowfalls, often accompanied with strong winds, managing to pile up enormous amounts of snow in a short period of time.
- Hurricanes
They are one of the most dangerous storms. They bring in lot of rainfall, but also very strong winds that manage to pull out trees, vehicles, and damage houses.
