chloroplast is the cell that helps the plant be able to grow food with the help of sunlight . what goes in is what comes out 6 CO2 + 6 H2O → C6H12O6 + 6 O2 that is the chemical formula for photosynthesis 
Animal cells do not have chloroplasts and that is why they can't produce their own food.
