I believe the answer is: Black power
Black power was an activism slogan used by African American people in the 1960s. The purpose of this movement is to fight for the collective interest of African American communities and advocated for African American families to be self-sufficient in the economy rather than have to be at the mercy of government support.
Just like any movements, some opposition was created for this movement. White backlash was one of them. There were a lot of people from white communities at that time who did not want the african american community to be self sufficient
