How you would factor this is,

The two terms of the binomial equation 25x^2 + -9 = 0 are perfect square. When factoring the difference of two perfect squares: x^2 – a^2 = (x+a)(x-a) . STEP 2: Set up and solve the equation. (5x) (5x) + (5x) (-3) + (3) (5x) + (3) (-3) = 0 With the Distributive Prop

If I understood the question correctly you can think of 25x^2-9 as being 25x^2+0x-9.  Therefore a=25, b=0, and c=-9.  Using the quadratic formula x=(-b(+or-)√(b²-(4ac)))/(2a).  after solving this equation with the given a, b, and c values you should get x=3/5 and -3/5.
