aight, so you do base times height for the volume. the volume would be the tank at 100% capacity, right? What you do then is you can express the percent as a fraction, 7/10. Then, all that's left is divide by 10, multiply by 7. After that, you then just use your scale factor to convert cubic feet to gallons.
70%=0.7
70% of volume=0.7V
volume=hpir^2
2r=d
d/2=r
d=29
29/2=r=14.5
h=20
amount of water=0.7*20*pi*14.5^2=
amount=14pi*210.25
amount=2943.5pi
that is how many ft^3 there is
multiplyb 7.5 to find gallons
2943.5pi*7.5=22076.25pi
aprox pi=3.14
22076.25*3.14=69319.425
round to nearest whole
69,319 gallons
