President Andrew Jackson stated that he believed the Congress, the Executive and the Court had each on itself be guided by its own opinion of the Consitution. Even though, he is attributed to have said "John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it.", regarding the Court's decision in favor of the Cherokee nation. By saying this he ignores the Court's authority to interpret the Constitution and its lack of power to enforce their decision over his own.
