Greetings!
When multiplying two roots together, you can rearrange the equation so that the roots are next to each other and so are the whole numbers:
2 x 3 x [tex]\sqrt{3}[/tex] x [tex]\sqrt{12}[/tex]
This means that 2 x 3 is simple, = 6,
But when multiplying [tex]\sqrt{3} x \sqrt{12}[/tex] you simply multply the two numbers and put them in a square root:
[tex]\sqrt{3} x \sqrt{12}[/tex] = [tex]\sqrt{36}[/tex]
But this can be square rooted to 6, which then means that the equation is now:
2 x 3 x 6 = 36
