andre does not understand why if x is a solution to the equation 3-x=4 then x is also a solution to the equation 12=9-3x. write a convincing explanation as to why this is true

Greetings!

If 3-x = 4 is the equation, then the other one, 12 = 9 - 3x is simply the same but with no simplified numbers.

4 = 3 - x

12 = 9 - 3x

They are both the same equation but the second one has not been simplified, both equations will give the same result.

If you multiply the first one by three:

3 x 4 = (3 x 3) - (3 x X) you still get

12 = 9 - 3x

Hope this helps!
