Paisley spends a total of $51.25 on 6 bags of popcorn and 7 drinks. Write a system of equations that can be used to find the price of one bag of popcorn and the price of one drink. Using these equations, determine and state the price of a drink, to the nearest cent.

multiply the 1st equation by -2

-6p -10d = -65.5

add the two equations together

-6p -10d = -65.5

6p +7d = 51.25

divide by -3

d=4.75


each drink costs $4.75
