For this case we have a polynomial division given by:

[tex](x ^ 3-3x-2)[/tex]represents the dividend.

[tex](x ^ 2-x + 1)[/tex]represents the divisor.

A quotient must be constructed in which each term (constructed per step) when multiplied by the divisor progressively eliminates the terms of the dividend.

When performing the division according to the above, the rest is obtained: [tex]-3x-3[/tex], while the quotient is given by [tex]x + 1[/tex].
