The grasshopper population in a meadow feeds on the meadow grasses. A fire destroys part of the meadow, causing a decrease in the grasshoppers' food source. How will this change MOST LIKELY affect the meadow? A. The meadow will evolve into a desert environment. B. The population density of the meadow will increase. C. The carrying capacity of the meadow will decrease. D. The meadow will receive a greater amount of rainfall.

Respuesta :

C

The medow has been hit by a fire, which means, there is not much medow left. The medow that is left, is being eaten by grasshoppers and since we know that grasshopper populations are big, not all of them will be ablo to feed on the same spot, making the carring capacity of the medow (in terms of grasshoppers) lower.

Hope it helped,
