Respuesta :

let

x-------> amounts of time Norman can spend drawing

y-------> amounts of time Norman can spend using the computer

we know that

[tex] x+y \leq 45 [/tex]

[tex] x\geq 25 [/tex]

using a graph tool

see the attached figure

the answer in the attached figure N 2

Answer-

Graph 1 represents the amounts of time Norman can spend drawing and using the computer.

Solution-

Taking,

x = Drawing time (in minutes)

y = Computer time (in minutes)

Norman wants to spend some time drawing and using the computer before dinner, which will be ready in 45 minutes or less. i.e

[tex]x+y\leq 45[/tex]

Taking a point origin (0, 0), and putting it in the equation,

[tex]\Rightarrow 0+0\leq 45\\\\\Rightarrow 0\leq 45[/tex]

As it satisfies the equation, so the shaded region will be towards origin.

Norman wants to spend at least 25 minutes drawing. i.e

[tex]x\geq 25[/tex]

Taking a point origin (0, 0), and putting it in the equation,

[tex]0\ngeqslant 25[/tex]

As it does not satisfy the equation, so the shaded region will be to the opposite to origin.

Plotting the graph, the correct option is A.
