Bonnie made 7 pies. There were 6 slices in each apple pie and 7 slices in each peach pie. If bonnie made 44 slices of pie in total, how many of each pie did she make?

x - number of apple pies
(7-x) - number of peach pies

6x- pieces of an apple pie
7(7-x) - pieces of peach pie

6x+7(7-x)= 44
6x+49-7x=44
-x=-5
x=5

7-x=7-5=2

Answer: 5 apple pies and 2 peach pies.
