Ricardo spends 8/9 hr. reading the paper. He spends 1/4 of the time reading world news and splits the remaining time equally between sports and comics. How much time does he spend reading comics. . Thanks!

Total time spent reading is = 8/9 hour

He spends 1/4 of the time reading world news. That is =  1/4 * 8/9 =  2/9 hour

Splits the remaining time equally.  Remaining time =  8/9 - 2/9 =  6/9

Splitting it equally =  6/9  divided by 2 =  6/9  * 1/2 =  3/9  = 1/3

Time spent reading comic is = 1/3 hour
